In the style of MC Escher, Asian Glow is a tessellating design that becomes a great showcase for your beautiful collection of medium to large scale prints (such as Asian or Kaffe Fassett)

Fabric Requirements:
32-56 fat quarters of medium to large scale prints/geometrics (the variation is in the variety desired in the blocks (one or two blocks/fat quarter). Perfect for a special collection (I used my Asian fabrics). Additional fabric may be necessary if fabric is directional.
½ yd gold (not too busy, tone on tone or batik would be best). This fabric is used for the center of the lanterns, the color is to represent lanterns that are lighted.
¾ yd dark fabric (to represent the night) (corners of blocks). May want to increase amount and use this fabric exclusively for the inner border.
2 packages Thangles® 2 inch finished size
Additional fabric needed for borders, backing and binding, but better to choose when top is complete.
