Using 2 contrast-ing fabrics will be a fun way to make this mayan maze quilt. Students will learn rotary cutting skills and will see how to work with contrasting fabrics to create a maze.

Fabric Requirements:

Color A Dark print or solid 1 ½ yards

Color B Light Print or solid 1 ½ yards

These fabrics should contrast but yet go together well.

 

Cutting Instructions:

Color A – Cut (6) – 2” wide strips

Cut (8) – 2 ½” wide strips

(for sashing)

Color B – Cut (12) – 2” wide strips

Cut (6) – 3 ½” wide strips

 

Bring remaining fabric with you

Note: This quilt finished is approximately 42” x 60”. If you want to make a larger one, double the amount listed below and your quilt should turn out to be twin size.
