Combine a little machine appliqué with simple piecing to make this sweet baby quilt.  Make it in pastels, brights, or batiks for different looks.  It would also make a great wall hanging.   Don't worry if you haven't appliquéd before.  Come and learn!

Fabric Requirements and Supply List:

4 -- 1/4 yard (or fat quarters) for flowers

2 -- 1/4 yard (or fat quarters) for leaves and stems

1/4 yard (or 1 fat quarter) light fabric for medallion background

1-1/4 yards for background

1-1/4 yards for flower center and small borders and binding

1-1/3 yard for outer border

2-1/2 yards for backing

Cutting Instructions:

Take the 4 flower 1/4 yards or fat quarters and cut them each into 8 -- 5" squares

Take the 2 leaf 1/4 yards or fat quarters and cut them each into 8 -- 5" squares -- bring leftover for appliqué leaves and stems

Take flower center fabric and cut 2 -- 2" strips and subcut into 32 -- 2" squares

Take the background fabric and cut the following:

          1 -- 9" strip and subcut into 4 -- 9" squares

          7 -- 2-3/4" strips and subcut into 96 -- 2-3/4" squares
