sblquilts@hotmail.com

Half Day

Sylvia is going to teach us beginning paper foundation piecing techniques! We will start simple with a tree block and progress to the more complicated house block. Other designs will be available to go with them, flowers, animals etc. You can take your blocks and make a small quilt, or just take the technique and feel that something new has been learned.

Skill Level: Beginner/All

Pattern Fee: $2

BSK

Supplies:

Add-a-quarter ruler (it is yellow, not the ruler that you use to draw lines for half square triangle units) optional, but very helpful. Otherwise, bring a mid length x narrow ruler with a good 1/4” marking on it.

Fabric Requirements:

Bring a variety of fabrics to build your house and tree. The largest piece you will need is probably about an 8 inch square or so for the sky. You can make your house with 1 or several fabrics, bring something for the window, roof, and door to contrast.

Patterns: I will give you a set of master copies of each block. You will also get working copies of the house and tree blocks.
