bondgirl@xmission.com

All Day

A perfect gift for your student, sportsperson or world traveler – preserve their collection of t-shirts in a unique and functional way that shows you care. 15-19 shirts work best in designing your own large throw to twin sized one-of-a-kind quilt.

Bring 15-19 t-shirts to class

No pattern or kit fee

No sewing machine needed as this is a prep and planning class.

Supply List:

Medium rotary cutter (new blade preferable)

6” x 24” ruler

Any square rulers you have – 6½”, 9½”, 12½”, 15½”

Large cutting mat

You do not need a sewing machine for this class. It’s a prep and planning class – after that the sewing is easy.

Graph paper

Paper scissors

Pencil

Eraser - BIG (critical when designing your quilt because you will erase a lot!)

If you have a portable ironing pad and iron you want to bring please do so. It will make preparation of your t-shirts faster.

T-shirts either old or new (I used 15 shirts – easier to come up with than you think!)

About 4 yards fusible knit stabilizer (the one I like is Shape Flex – available at Quilt Etc)

Various novelty prints to go with your t-shirts. 1/8 yd cuts will generally work but you can wait to get these until after your design is finished. It will give you a better idea of what you will need.
