Come put a dent in your scrap bag while learning to use the Nifty Notions ½ square and ¼ square rulers. These wonderful rulers make it easy to create squares, ½ square triangles and flying geese all from the same size strip of fabric. This scrap quilt with its shining stars is sure to be a crowd pleaser. After all who doesn’t love a scrap quilt?

Supply list:

You will need to purchase the Nifty Notions ½ square and ¼ square rulers.

 

Fabric Requirements:

5 ½ yards miscellaneous darks

1 yard light fabric

¾ yard stop border

1 ½ yard outer border

Cutting Instructions:

Light fabric into 14- 2 ½” strips the width of the fabric

From one of these strips cut 10- 2 ½” squares

(save the remaining strips to be used with the Nifty Notions ruler)

Dark fabric cut into:

17- 4 ½” strips the width of fabric

From these strips cut 185- 2 ½” x 4 ½” rectangles

35- 4 ½” squares (save the remaining strips to be used with the Nifty Notions ruler)

32- 2 ½” strips the width of fabric

From these cut 440 2 ½” squares (save the remaining strips to be used with the Nifty Notions ruler)
