1/4 yard of flannel or thin cotton batting for padding strap

into two (2) 7 1/2" squares. Cut these squares once diagonally
to make four (4) triangles.
For the outside of your bag you should have 12 squares 7"
(4 each from 3 different fabrics) and 4 triangles
Lining, handles, pocket
From 1 yard piece cut one (1) strip 7" x width of fabric.
From this strip cut one (1) 7" x 14" piece (pocket) and
one (1) 7" x 26 piece (handles).
Then cut the 7" x 26" piece in half lengthwise making
two (2) 3 1/2" x 26" pieces.
Cut two (2) strips 7" x width of fabric. From each of these
strips cut four (4) 7" x 20 1/2" pieces (if your fabric is less than
41" you will need another 7" strip and the leftover from the
7 1/2" strip below to get four (4) 7" x 20 1/2" strips). You need
a total of four (4) 7" x 20 1/2" pieces.
Cut one (1) strip 7 1/2" the width of fabric. From this strip
cut two (2) 7 1/2" squares. Cut each square once diagonally to
make four (4) triangles
From your 1 yard piece you should now have: 4 triangles,
4 pieces 7" x 20 1/2", 2 pieces 3 1/2" x 26", 1 piece 7" x 14"
From the flannel or batting cut two (2) strip 1 1/2" x 26"
