If you wish to make the quilt scrappy, go ahead! Use as many lights and darks as you like. I recommend they all have the same value. I used at least 19 different lights and 20 different darks, I used big and little plaids (of course), florals, stars, crows, and calicoes.

You will not be cutting all of the fabric. Don’t panic!

From the light fabric cut:
15 strips @ 2”
4 strips @ 2-3/8”
1 strip @ 2 ½” ( sub cut into 2 ½” squares) Need 22
8 strips @ 3 ½”
8 strips @ 3-7/8”
4 strips @ 4 ¼” (sub cut into 4 ¼” squares) Need 24
1 strip @ 5”

From the dark fabric cut:
12 strips @ 2”
4 strips at 2-3/8”
2 strips @ 3 ¼”
10 strips @ 3 ½” (sub cut into 3 ½” squares) Need 96
2 strips @ 4 ¼” (sub cut into 4 ¼” squares) Need 18
5 strips @ 7 ¼”
